Company/Contractor dispute
Here’s the story; a company registered in silicon oasis onboarded me as an independent contractor. Fired me without notice and in doing so breached a clause in the contract as well as did not pay the previous month’s invoice. They did not return the agreement countersigned but initiated the agreement through conduct (they paid me for my services from a European entity.)
I am based in south africa and have been working with international companies for 3 years. I get paid directly by the company, and i have an agreement with tax consultant in South Africa that handles my income taxes.
This company is giving long winded stories about the invoices being wrong, from an unregistered company, asking my personal tax number etc etc. sick of it.
I feel my position is strong, all my affairs are in order. I have proof of goodwill correspondence, agreements, work done, payments made etc. what are my options? I am owed just about 5k USD for 1 month not paid which is 2500, breach of contract in lieu of 2k and half a month of unpaid services which is about 1k.
What are my options? I would ideally like to see this through to the end and get paid in full.
