Finally escaped my abuser but my 1978 home is in need of a few pieces

Hello, first time posting here and so thankful to be here, apologies if this is a rough post I promise to do my best

Long story story short after years of abuse and my in-laws committing fraud over my disability assistance I finally managed to move away from them but the only place I could get into is an unfinished reno that was abandoned a few years ago. I am beyond blessed that its in a liveable condition, no mold or mice or any real issues. However with summer ramping up the lack of a hood vent above the stove means the entire house is the same temperature as the air inside the attic thats under a dark metal roof and we are starting to hit triple digits. I worry about my service dog and how he can handle the heat endlessly, so ive been looking around for a free hood vent online locally for the entire month ive been living here to be but the cheapest I could find was 100$ that I just dont have after paying rent two days ago. I got insanely lucky and the seller gave me until Saturday to get that money together, I managed to sell the few books i had and got 8$ so far but I would really really appreciate the assistance that youre inclined to give, and truly I cannot thank everyone in here enough, this group gives me hope
