Quality of life buys for AIT

To keep this short: I just graduated BCT last week - and am at my AIT base. My AIT is roughly 6 months so I have a bit of time to get cozy before I get assigned my duty station.

I was hoping some of you more seasoned folks may have advice on what to buy and what to stay away from. Like I know to not get a big flat screen cause there's just no real practical need/room for it. But past that what else would be a good buy?

The things we (roommate and I) have gotten so far for the room - fan, bath mat, shoe mat, and cleaning supplies like a broom, toilet brush, swiffer mop, and duster. Then of course we both have gotten out own personal things like bed sheets, pillow, towels.
