PC building in 2026

My gaming computer ist pretty old (1060 gpu 😳) and with the newest releases in 2026 i feel like its about time to get a new pc cause even games like Forza are unplayable.

I know its a bad timing for pc building thats why im not sure if I should invest. I was thinking about getting into am5 cpu or the Intel Core Ultra 5 245KF.

But maybe there is also away to stick with my DDR4 and only invest in a AM4 base CPU?

is this smart or do you have any other recomendation?
