Serious advice on wedding outfit!!!!!!!!! What do I wear : Parent's choice or mine?

So, I have my wedding next month and I am in a dilemma. So help me out here.

I always wanted to wear a saree for my wedding even Jaimala. Something South Indian temple wedding style. My family is from North India where everyyyyyyyyyone wears Lehenga for Jaimala and Saree for wedding.

Now, me and my fiance have a considerable height difference. He looks way bigger than me and I'm kind of short and slim like 5 ft.

My parents think saree won't suit me for jaimala and I should buy a lehenga as it looks good on me and saree makes me look thin. So lehenga won't show that much of a size difference plus it'll be easier to carry.

But I just cannot feel happy in trying any lehenga. Even if it looks good.

My logic is it's a waste of money as one time wear plus it doesn't feel unique to me.

What should I do? Should I listen to my parents as they genuinely know what looks best on me and play it safe with lehenga? Or should I just go with saree even if I don't look as good as in lehenga and it's a risk????
