I stopped chasing views on LinkedIn and started doing this instead. My engagement got way better.

Last year I kept posting “good content” on LinkedIn and getting almost nothing back.

No DMs.
No leads.

The problem was not the content quality. The problem was that I was posting things people could agree with, but not use.

What started working was this:

  • One post, one problem.
  • One clear opinion.
  • One practical takeaway people can use today.
  • One question at the end that invites a real response.

Example:

Instead of posting:
“Consistency matters on LinkedIn.”

“Posting every day is useless if your post has no point. Here is the 3-part structure I use now: problem, lesson, next step.”

That shift changed everything.

People stopped liking out of politeness and started commenting because the post gave them something useful.

What have you noticed works better for you on LinkedIn, broad advice or specific breakdowns?
