Second pregnancy mums - when did it finally feel real and exciting and not just terrifying?

:mom: Mom

Okay so i'm going to be honest because i feel like nobody ever is about this.

When i found out i was pregnant with my second i did not feel the same rush of excitement i did the first time. I felt scared. Overwhelmed. Guilty that my first was about to lose his mum all to himself.

For weeks i kept waiting for that magical feeling to kick in and it just… didn't straight away.

And then one completely random Tuesday my toddler put his head on my belly without me saying anything and said "baby in there?"

And that was it. That was the moment. I sobbed on the kitchen floor like an absolute mess.

Suddenly it felt less scary and more like our family was just growing into what it was always supposed to be.
