Varminpool heater connection

I had bought a varminpool heat pump and after a short time had a lot of difficulty connecting to control it. I basically had to manually turn it on and off, it was so bad. On a fluke, I turned off my phones bluetooth to stop my car from connecting, turned it on near the pool with the intention of connecting my speaker, but happened to try reconnecting the heater first and it immediately connected. Since then I have turned off my phones Bluetooth off for 30s before trying to connect to the heater and it works 95% of the time.

I had also tried having the guest WiFi as the connection, and while I still do this, it didn't change the connection issue.
