how did you know rpoc was coming out when you had your period?

i'm passing different things...brown flakes, jelly, nothing that felt "firm". and i'm just lost trying to understand if it's the rpoc or not. i expected a rubbery piece - but i get brown clots (that smear with light touch) and maybe one small tiny piece that felt dried and solid. not sure what to expect.
