Hi CarsPH,

I'm considering buying a 2005 Toyota Corolla Altis J 1.6 Manual for ₱185,000 and wanted to get some opinions before I proceed.

**Details:**

* 2005 Toyota Corolla Altis J
* 1.6 VVT-i
* Manual transmission
* 110,000 km ODO
* Seller is the 2nd owner
* Registered until June 2027
* Under seller's name
* Cold aircon
* Seller wants a closed deed of sale

**Recent maintenance according to seller:**

* Change oil
* New spark plugs
* New radiator
* New coolant
* Front and rear brakes cleaned

I asked why the radiator was replaced and the seller said it was due to a leak, not overheating.

**Known issue:**

* Driver and rear right power windows suddenly stopped working

For context, I was also considering a 2011 Honda Civic FD 1.8 that was being offered to me for around ₱200k, but it has around 300,000 km on the odometer. The Altis has much lower mileage, which is making me lean toward it.

**Questions:**

1. Does ₱185k seem like a fair price for this Altis?
2. What would be a reasonable negotiation price?
3. Are there any common issues with the 2005 Altis that I should specifically check during viewing?
4. Given the choice between this Altis (110k km) and a Civic FD 1.8 (300k km), which would you pick and why?

Appreciate any advice from current or former Altis owners. Thanks!

Should I pull the trigger on this 2005 Toyota Altis? (First car buyer)
