So a little context: I'm a self-taught digital artist, still pretty young, and I don't come from a family that talks about money or investing at all. Everything I know I had to look up myself.

I recently started making a bit of income from commissions and I want to be smart about it instead of just letting it sit. I can realistically set aside around $200 a month to put into stocks or ETFs — not a lot, but it's what I can consistently commit to right now.
