Career Advice Needed: How can I become a Government College Professor after BPT?

Hi everyone,
I’m a physiotherapist and it’s been almost 2 years since I completed my BPT. Initially, I was interested in clinical practice, but now I want to move into the teaching/academic field and eventually become a professor in a government college.
I’m quite confused about the career path and would appreciate some guidance:
Is MPT mandatory, or can I do an MSc instead?
Which entrance exams or eligibility tests do I need to clear?
Do I need to appear for UGC NET, CSIR NET, or any other exam?
What is the complete roadmap to become an Assistant Professor/Professor in a government college after BPT?
Has anyone here followed this path or is currently working in academics after Physiotherapy?
Any advice, personal experiences, or guidance would be really helpful.
Thank you! 😊
