For those who chose to NOT to PGT test, how did you maintain resolve when transfers failed?
We've had one failed transfer and one chemical, and while I still feel good about our decision not to PGT test, I'm realizing I didn't fully appreciate how hard all the unknowns would be. My doctors still think chromosomal abnormalities are the most likely explanation, but because the embryos are untested, there's no way to know. I find myself wishing we had that extra layer of information. If known euploids were failing, I'd feel a lot more confident focusing on uterine factors, but right now it can be a coin toss as to which it is.
What's frustrating is that now I'm considering pausing transfers to do Receptiva/endometritis testing, not because anyone strongly suspects a uterine issue (all ultrasounds normal, SIS normal), but because I want need clarity, and its clarity that PGT could have possibly provided. After already waiting so long, it's annoying to think about stopping again and doing more testing on myself just to maybe rule out something on the uterine side. I know why we chose to not PGT test, but I'm mad at myself right now for not just doing it. How did you talk yourself out of this regret and maintain resolve when things got hard? When did you decide to stop and do more testing on yourself?
