Nobody talks about the physical side of AI

DD

every AI discussion online eventually turns into chips, models and software.

but the more i read about data centers, the more it feels like AI is also becoming an infrastructure story.

  • power demand
  • cooling systems
  • electrical equipment
  • grid upgrades
  • networking hardware
  • construction materials

people talk about AI like it exists only in the cloud, but the cloud still runs on physical infrastructure.

feels like the market spent two years focused on compute and is only now starting to look at the real-world side supporting it.

curious what people here think becomes the biggest bottleneck if AI demand keeps scaling:
power, cooling, networking, construction, or something else?
