\*\*Note: While this is a pretty common system, I'm aware there are others that are different.\*\*

A certain tradition from a group I learned from used the Golden Dawn system of compartmentalizing the 72 goetic demons in two groups, 36 demons for day, 36 demona for night. We were taught to find out which demon we naturally mesh with based on date of birth/zodiac and whether we were born during day time or night time, introduce ourselves to this demon and if all is well, the demon may act as a guide/advisor. This is not to suggest is only this demon you will prefer or something. It also doesn't suggest the reason for this is because demons have a list of people born on their dates, but that the potential and energy to mesh well togather is there.

There are also the 4 demon kings of the cardinal direction that has multiple variations, for this part, the trafition I learned didn't use Golden Dawn's assignment, but one where Oriens is east, Amaymon is south, Paimon is west, and Egyn is north.

Tips:

\- Never attempt to contact a demon you know nothing about

\- As Satanists, we don't need to do any protection circles, banishing at the end of rituals, or in anyway disrespect or be hostile towards these spirits like some non-satanic traditions might. We are at one with them.

\- If you're new to rituals altogether, don't rush it, do your homework on said demon first, try meditative practices beforehand to prepare yourself for contacting a spiritual/acausal being.
