7 week ultrasound?

New here

I recently found out I’m expecting after dealing with thyroid issues that doctors thought could affect my fertility and ability to conceive. Needless to say, I’m incredibly grateful.

My first appointment is around 7w5d–7w6d, and they’ll be doing a transvaginal ultrasound. The wait and uncertainty of wondering whether everything is okay, especially given my thyroid history, is starting to feel pretty overwhelming.

I’m considering booking a private ultrasound right at 7 weeks, which is the earliest they offer them. My only hesitation is that it would be abdominal, and I’m worried that if they can’t see much yet, it might create more anxiety than reassurance.

Has anyone had a positive experience with an early private ultrasound? Were you able to see a heartbeat or get meaningful reassurance around 7 weeks with an abdominal scan?
