Why does the dental office take your blood pressure when you are sitting in the dental chair and feet aren’t on the ground?

Not a question about the reason to take a blood pressure check but rather why is it done by your are not sitting with your feet on the ground? I thought optimal technique to be sitting with your feet on the ground
