Update on WWB boom boom incident from last month

First off, a big thank you to KAK Industry (RIP their Reddit account) for their help through this whole thing. They were gracious enough to inspect my upper receiver (at the request of Winchester) and gave a thorough breakdown of the damage and the cause. Winchester is cutting my a check to replace the entire upper (not including the light, optic, and suppressor, which sustained no damage thankfully)

I sent the ammo back to Winchester and the stripped lower back to Griffin Armament. As it turns out, the lower was still serviceable. They inspected and replaced the bolt catch that broke off when the gun went boom. Kinda nice that I don’t have to order a new lower, do another form 1 (at least it would be free this time), and get it engraved again.

Now I just have to wait to receive the check and then I can start ordering all the components again and rebuild the upper.
