Should Steam and other platforms allow trophy resets?

As a serial completionist who also loves replaying single-player games I wonder why no platform readily supports this.

It could very well be implemented on a game-by-game level to prevent complete wipes and I would personally even wouldn’t mind paying a small fee (ideally not) like to change your usernames on other platforms.

It would add great replay value for single player games in particular and add that fresh feeling or allow for planning one run Platinums.
