What would you say to giving an Honorary Oscar to a film, especially for "The Shawshank Redemption"?
From what I can tell online, no film has been given an Honorary Oscar since 1953's award for Forbidden Games. Plenty of talented artists and producers in the industry have been recognized, but no film in over 70 years. Given how Shawshank has risen so much in esteem in the popular consciousness with its enduring message, what would you think of the film itself being a candidate for an Honorary Oscar?
