How does a career in oceanography field look like?

I'm a 12th grade student studying Science.

My core subjects are Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Biotechnology

I aspire to make a career in oceanography and I have no idea how the industry works, what do people do infact I have no idea which career line should I opt for in oceanography.

Money is the topmost non negotiable for me because I can't go on and be like "money doesnt metter life rich in happiness does".

I want to interact with marine animals alot. I want to explore depths of oceans where not alot of people have access to and contribute to the health of oceans. I don't mind travelling infact i love it. I'm curious about our waters. Yet I have noone around me to give me guidance regarding this field. I would love to connect with people who have established career in field of oceanography and can give me proper guidance.
