New driver, caused a minor collision
Today as I was turning left from a side road I caused a minor collision. Don't even want to call it an accident, because there was no accident, it was my incompetence. The lane on my left was clear, the lane I was turning into was not. It was absolutely my fault, and I don't even know how it happened. I must have misjudged the gap or somehow lost focus.
Thankfully it ended up with just a minor scratch on the other guys car and I just paid for the damage. But now I feel absolutely horrible about myself, considering that I've been driving for about one and a half weeks. It makes me feel like I'm not meant to actually be on the road. Despite making so many efforts to drive safe, having zero distractions in the car, driving only at speed limit something like this still happened and it filled me with guilt.
How do you get over such an incident? I know time will probably help but I do have a job and need to get back on the road in 2 days, but the anxiety is going to kill me.
