Should I pursue my passion, although it suffocates me?
For context, I'm going to graduate this year and I don't know what to do afterwards. I love physics. I am very passionate about physics. So much so, that I have studied it in my free time over the last couple of years. Naturally I'm considering to study physics in college. The problem I have though, is that physics may disprove free will. Back when I was around 14 - 15, I had an entire existential crisis about the possibility of free will not existing and I don't want that to repeat itself. I was very depressed and still have long term "wounds" of that time. In higher physics, a lot of research is connected to time, one of the theories is, that all of time is pre determined, which would imply the absence of free will. I find that to be very scary, especially if it were involved in my working habits. I don't know what to do.
