HELP ME BE PETTY.

I’m building a native flower garden along my fence facing public property. People comment on my garden all season long, and I decided to bring it over the fence to help others smile.

But the preteens. They are relentless. They want to dim my sparkle so bad. They break down the barriers, jump over them and stomp on the marked seedlings. WHEN IM STANDING RIGHT THERE TENDING MY GARDEN.

I’ve kindly spoken to them directly asking them to respect the private property. I just get eye rolls.

How can I up my level of petty to make it less desirable for these kids to be such butts?

I just want to discourage them. I’m not looking to submit a police report or something like that.
