Brown stuff leaking out of vine

I just realized this stuff coming out of its vine yesterday and tried wiping it off, it looks like it's oozing out of the plant. The darker sections also aren't softer or harder than the brighter green sections. I was gifted a trimming of this plant back in January and it's been growing a bunch without issues, im really worried I've done something wrong and that it'll die because it's my favorite and easiest plant :( does anyone know why it's doinf this?
