I'm looking for flaws in my thinking.

Discussion

Here's what I wrote in my notes while I was bored. (I'm a 14 year old European male and want to learn if there's anything I should know or change in my thinking, thank you in advance.)

I don't understand why so many people focus on the past of their lives, including their mistakes, breakups, and betrayals. Why focus on the past when there's a whole future in front of you? You cannot finish the book if you keep rereading the same chapter.

If you find out that no matter how long you stare at the same moment it doesn't make sense just keep moving forward until it does, maybe it won't, but look at that, you still went forward, towords the present and caught up to reality. Some things don't have explanations or aren't understandable by the receiver, but why focus on the unknowable when theres so much to know? Holding onto the past is like holding onto a pole while skateboarding down a hill you'll stop for a second and be safe, but then rather quickly your feet will try to move on but your own stubbornness will cause you to fall down, you must commit to the future now otherwise you'll injure yourself later.

I wasn't always like this, I used to be the problem I describe, I used to hold onto the past. But just like how I've stated, I moved on, and then it all made sense; some things didn't, but I still moved forward.
