What game completely changed for you after giving it a second chance?
I'm curious how many people have had this happen to them.
Have you ever played a game, hated it (or just felt bored by it), dropped it for months or even years, and then came back later only to realize it was actually amazing?
I've noticed that sometimes the reason a game doesn't click isn't because it's bad. It can be timing, expectations, being in the wrong mood, not understanding certain mechanics, or simply comparing it to another game.
There are games that I quit after a few hours because I thought they were overrated. Then, when I came back later with a different mindset, I suddenly understood why people loved them so much.
On the other hand, there are also games that everyone praises but never really clicked for me no matter how many chances I gave them.
So I'm interested in hearing your stories:
- What game did you initially dislike but later ended up loving?
- How long was it before you gave it another chance?
- What changed your opinion?
- Was there a specific moment when everything finally "clicked"?
Feel free to include games from any genre—RPGs, shooters, strategy games, indie titles, MMOs, or anything else.
I'd love to see if there are certain games that appear repeatedly in the comments and what made people change their minds about them.
