Rigged Ranked 3.0 placement matches

I played ranked placement matches with my friends and in the second match enemy team cancelled the match. This counted as an ”X” for only 3 of us and for 1 of us it didn’t count as an placement match. He had 1/5 placement matches played while everyone else had 2/5. We continued playing the remaining placement matches and everyone else got a rank but this 1 friend still had to play 1 more placement match to get his rank.

How is this even possible when we played every match together? R6 tracker shows only 4 matches played for everyone of us but only 3 got a rank.
