Anyone else trying to plan a honeymoon that does not feel too generic?
I keep realizing that honeymoon planning is harder than I expected because every option starts to sound the same after a while. Beach resort, nice hotel, cocktails, maybe a few dinners, relax for a week. That sounds lovely, but part of me also wants the trip to feel like something we will actually remember years later. Lately I have been thinking about doing something a bit more experience-based, like a short safari and then a few slower days somewhere relaxing after. Not a super packed adventure trip, but something with a few early mornings, wildlife, quiet lodge time, and then maybe beach or pool days at the end. The part I am struggling with is balance. I do not want the honeymoon to feel like work, with too many transfers or waking up early every single day. But I also do not want to spend the whole trip doing nothing and then feel like it could have been any other vacation. I think the ideal version would be a few days that feel special and active, then enough downtime to actually enjoy being newly married and not exhausted.
