How to be grounded and real with who and what socioeconomic class I’m in? I see these women on social media that have a customer service job that pays minimum buy these expensive looking outfits to post themselves alone at home painting.
What is that in a psychology or similar word? I used to have these grand ideas of my career and like glam lifestyles but I am not there now and I don’t even know if I want to be that person now. My friends are all in a kind of middle size town north of a big city. We all have normal jobs, go out to dinner occasionally and are not some rich high society but I can’t help but love to get dressed up and pretty clothes. But I’m not fake putting them on for social only. I barely post.
But my brain is kind of there. Like daydreams of a glam lifestyles but I’m just a regular person- a micro influencer technically- because of my sobriety, growth through trauma, and some accomplishments for the community.
I used to be “living” more glam and in the spotlight on the news etc. I love my low key life but feel a little lost not being “seen” as much or like I’m on the come down to a real life and kind of just want to meet a good guy and live a cozy home life.
What is this feeling? Am I missing validation? When I see women or me post lives that are outside of their means or fabricated it seems so fake to me now. My alternative is to hustle so I self hard again- but for what? Social posts of my life looking a certain way?
Any insight is helpful, I’m sure in riddle with some sort of thing I need to work on internally.
