Why are the first 3 years as a Sales Manager, critical to my success?
Throughout my life, I have changed careers a number of times. And I've always felt that the transition. The first three years are critical to my success regardless of what role I was performing within an organization. As a sales manager there are systems, processes and tools I need to add to my personal knowledge, skills and abilities tool box.
Of course, systems processes and tools are those things that we need to be successful. A system as a broad area of responsibility/ In the case of a Sales Manager, there a 6 systems; recruiting, selection, onboarding, training, coaching and leadership. A Process is what you say or do to support the systems. A tool is something you show to support a process.
The new sales manager must learn this early in their career, memorize it, role-play it, practice it and master it to be successful and thrive in the role.
Do you think the first three years are critical to your success?
