IT vs HR?

Need some advice from people familiar with Reynolds and Reynolds.
I’m in my early 30s and currently deciding between two job offers. Living in College Station, TX.
Offer #1:
HR/Recruiting role
$60,000 salary
Better immediate financial stability
Supporting my household, so money does matter
Offer #2:
Reynolds and Reynolds IT Technician
$50,000 salary
Internal IT role supporting workstations, Active Directory, networking, VoIP, etc.
Seems like a better long-term IT trajectory
Long term, I think I want to be in IT. If Reynolds was paying closer to $55k-$60k, I honestly think I would take it immediately.
I spoke with the recruiter and she confirmed the $50k offer already takes my prior IT experience into consideration. She also explained there is a formal compensation review process if I want to request reconsideration.
For anyone who has worked at Reynolds (especially in IT):
How was your experience?
Is the IT Technician role a good stepping stone into enterprise IT?
Is the turnover in IT really as bad as people online make it sound?
If you were in my position, would you take the higher-paying HR role or the Reynolds IT role?
I’m trying to separate internet horror stories from actual experiences, especially from people who have worked in their IT department.
Thanks in advance.
