Best way to buy a second car?
We currently have a 2016 Seat Leon FR. Lovely car but has cost us a fair amount in repairs recently. We bought it cash a couple years back.
We now need a second car in the family; we don’t really have the cash to buy another one unless it’s something around £2k. But I’m not convinced I’d buy anything reliable or good for that.
So looking at financing potentially. I really don’t want to do it but almost feel like we don’t have a choice as I need a car sooner rather than later.
Unless a “good” car can be had for £2k?
Anyway on to the question; if financing what’s the best way to go about it? I looked at PCP. It has nice low payments but you own nothing at the end. HP is too expensive I think. Then there is bank loans. Are there any other options?
I’m starting to think a bank loan for like £10k would be better than spending 2k on a car that might be unreliable?
