Used 2023 Tundra a safe buy - Asking for a buddy

Buying Advice

Hello All,

A close friend of mine is wanting to upgrade from his 98 ranger to a 2023 TSS Tundra 3.5L used from a trustworthy local dealer. It has 62k miles and it's decently priced at $39k. The outside and inside are mint and the truck was well taken care of. As we all know, the 2022-2023 engines make people a little nervous about purchasing these used. I have a Tacoma 3rd gen and haven't really kept up with the Tundra issues.

My question is - at 62k miles would that be a safe indicator that this truck wasn't affected by the engine debris issue or has it just been lucky and the issues haven't shown their ugly heads?

Thanks in advance!

Also I know everyone in this sub is tired of these questions so I apologize for adding to them 😅
