Built a free-to-look-at budget dashboard in Excel — runway forecast, no macros, works in Google Sheets too
Hey folks 👋 Built this as my own attempt to make a budget template that doesn't look like a 1998 spreadsheet.
What it does:
- Live dashboard with current balance, days left, daily spend rate, savings rate
- Runway forecast — projects your remaining balance to end-of-month, accounting for scheduled bills
- Six-month spend trend chart
- Smart dropdowns that filter by Type (Income / Expense / Saving)
- 12-currency support
- No macros, no bank sync, no subscription — your data stays on your machine
I'm mostly posting because I'd love feedback from people who actually budget for a living. What's missing? What's annoying about other templates you've tried?
