Ideas on free XP inside gold certificates ahead of Reforged?

I have a ton of XP stuck inside gold certificates. Would you convert them activate them so ahead of the change so all that XP ends up in my account?

I know there has been a lot fo conversation on the conversion but haven't seen this covered. Thanks
