When I watch the news be it left or right leaning, they both seem to agree that the economy is doing ok or better than ok. So why does it seem like we are living in end times and nothing is affordable and jobs are hard to get and especially good paying jobs?

In my life it seems everything is falling apart. Gas is higher. Food prices are higher. Rent is unaffordable. Buying a home is a fantasy. A new car is a fantasy and they are junk. Expensive junk. Used cars are insanely priced. Healthcare is insanely priced. You cant even build a computer to distract yourself now.

So many essential aspects of my life are overpriced, but according to the news everythings ok.
