Adventure/Fantasy easy-to-read books with strong women?

My girlfriend wants to practice her English by reading action/adventure/fantasy books with strong female characters.

However, we both aren't so fans of books, so she would prefer a book that is not too complicated to read, easy to get captivated by it.

What book or series can you recommend? Thanks.
