Rainbow ranked system 3.0

Played 5 games won 4 of em‘ - got a Kd of 1.5.
So basically it oriented at the rank of the last season - I was just bronze 2 last season with 0.8 kd 42% win rate - now I got ranked bronze 3 with 1.5 and 80%. My question here is the old system is completely gone i assume? Because back in the day I was an absolut noob - got ranked gold. Today in QP I match with freaking champions and diamonds, even tho the game is holding me at such low level. I’m not saying I deserve dia or champ ranks but is it possible to kickstart a silver-gold tank from the „new“ / „old“ 5 promo game system?? Appreciate y’all, be nice pls!
