New to Jellyfin – Any Must-Have Plugins or Tips from Experienced Users?

Hello everyone,

I recently migrated to Jellyfin from Kodi, and the experience has been excellent. I honestly wish I had made the switch years ago 😊

For those who are more experienced with Jellyfin, are there any lesser-known plugins, tools, or enhancements that you would recommend trying?

On my Mi Box S (3rd Gen), I'm currently using Wholphin, which has provided the best experience for me so far. I also use Moonfin for my son's cartoon library so he doesn't accidentally mess up the main settings 😅🤣

On an older laptop, I'm running Ubuntu with Fladder, and the experience has been meh 🫤 overall. The limitation is the aging Intel i7-7Y75 processor, but it's not a major issue for now until I decide on a replacement or perhaps a tablet.

On Android phones, there are so many client options available that I haven't had any trouble finding good apps to use.

One thing I have noticed is that the audio volume in some movies seems a bit lower than expected. I've mainly noticed this with movies from my Disney+ collection encoded with DDP 5.1 audio. I'm not sure whether this is a client-related issue or if I need to adjust some audio settings on the server or playback device. If anyone has experience with this or suggestions on what to check, I'd appreciate the advice.

More generally, I'd love to hear any recommendations, tips, best practices, or lesser-known plugins that you think are worth trying.

I've been browsing through awesome-jellyfin but the number of plugins and tools listed there is honestly overwhelming 😅
