I’ve just come across a post in another sub that kind of triggered me into posting this.

Approaching women and talking to women, just in case some boys need to see this.

1. Better be safe than sorry.

Approaching girls is fine, be mindful of how you’re presenting yourself, what’s the vibe of the place you’re in.
Don’t come off aggressive, desperate. Have a conversation with them before asking them out.
Even if it is for a few minutes, don’t let reels and shorts fool you into straight up asking someone’s number.

2. Grooming is important!

It can be something as simple as trimming your nails, moisturiser for dry skin, or even lip balm for chapped lips. 😭 basic stuff yaar.
Deodorant ofcourse.

3. Timing and consistency.

Whether it’s texting, or arriving at a date. Be consistent, whether it is consistently on time or late.
Ideally it is on time, but definitely for texting be consistent.
If you can’t text for a period of time let them know in advance.
If you are a late texter BE A LATE TEXTER, don’t be giving quick replies at the start and taper of.

4. Don’t be impulsive.

Plan your dates, activities. Impulse decisions are fun in the moment but they can go wrong very fast.
When you set aside time specifically for one and another, you can make the most of it.

5. CONSENT.

If it’s your first time holding her hand, ASK HER if it’s okay.
If you want to hold her hand, ASK HER.
If one thing leads to another, you’re making out. When there’s a pause ASK HER, if it’s okay.
Any further escalation at all, even if it’s their place, even if they implied they want it. ASK THEM.

Being drunk or any inebriated state is NO.
Don’t think with your dick, it might be something new to them, go at a gentle pace, always keep asking, make them feel as comfortable as possible.
Don’t ask again and again, whatever you guys are doing, it should be enjoyable to BOTH of y’all.
Don’t make them feel coerced. Respect boundaries!

I know so much of this is basic dating etiquette, but seriously I’ve seen too many freaking posts dudes.

There’s a fine line between ruining the moment and them finding it cute/silly. But always better be safe and sorry.
