The Skeletal Rider (Reloaded)
Hello fellow CoS DM’s.
My next in person session is coming up Sunday and I’m putting the maps together and working on my prep but would like your perspective on something.
Early on in our campaign my Bard/ Reborn player decided to cut the face off the corpse near the gates of Barovia and use it to create a disguise he could wear later in the campaign. Long story short, I advised against it since the npc is well know by the villagers and he is already believed to be dead but he rolled high so I let it happen.
When our next session begins, The Skeletal Rider will appear before the party and the bard still has his face. How would you handle this encounter with the rider knowing what the bard did? Not looking to turn it into combat but would like to make the players shake in their boots a bit.
