Would you add an extra 4 hours to your weekly commute for an extra $1000 net monthly?

Advice

My current weekly commute is maybe 80 mins (10-12 mins each way). This would be 40 minutes and 40 miles each way, 4 times a week( (40×2×4)/60) -(80/60) = 4 extra hours in the car. I can start at anytime so, thankfully, I can avoid the rush hour/parking lot highway traffic.

My current position is with a good public company with good benefits with zero risk of being laying off. It also has zero prospects for career growth, they would love for me to stay in my position for the next 15 years+. But based on their raises it would take me another 3-4 years to increase my salary to $1000 monthly net. The new company would be a different position with more responsibilities and room for career growth. The company is organizing to be IPO ready.

The commute is my only hesitation. I don't see the point of in-office work. Most of my day is in data models or on zoom calls with people in other countries (leadership/shared services employees). What are your thoughts?
