Considering Chicago nursing school- almost 40

Hello! I am 38 and a registered dietitian thinking of going back to school to be a nurse. I am also a single mom of two little kids. I feel a bit intimidated about going back to school and want to know if this is the “right decision.” I really enjoy helping ppl/healthcare and dietetics have never felt like the right choice for me and it doesn’t feel versatile enough. Has anyone made the switch in the Chicago area? Do you recommend associates degree at community college or accelerated BSN or accelerated masters for second degree students? There are lots of programs but don’t know what would be the best in terms of finances, training, job prospects. Thank you!!!
