Am I The Jerk for Ditching my Date?

Im 23f and i matched with this girl on the apps about a week ago. Really cute ill call her Lady. Ive been taking the apps a bit more seriously lately and have my non negotiables on my profile, things like having their own place not having kids. Lady matched me and sent the first message saying she "checked all the boxes," and we got chatting easily over the week. Hobbies, common interests, the vibe was good.

She asked me yesterday if i want a proper date and i said yes. She said she didnt drive which id normally consider a non negotiable but were in the city and its honestly fine here and asked if id pick her up. I suggested we head out to this lovely place by the water id been wanting to try.

So i got home from work did my hair put proper effort in because i was actually excited. I drove out to the address shed sent and as i got close i realised there werent any houses or flats nearby, just a row of bars. I pulled in and texted to check id got the right place. She said yes and asked if id come in and join her where she was, "im just finishing my drinks with the girls before we head off."

I walked in, a bit confused and there she was at a table with two of her mates, halfway through what was clearly a pretty long session. Empty cocktail glasses, the lot. She came over all smiles, apologised that shed lost track of time, and said theyd "only popped in for one." As we made small talk she casually mentioned it would be "about a hundred and twenty." I looked at her blankly and she went, "the bill, the girls and i wanted to get the night started right, is that okay?"

She wanted me to pay for the whole tab including her friends drinks. I was honestly mad.

I said, "oh, you mean for me to cover the lot?" and she smiled and said "well, im out for you tonight, theyre just keeping me company while i waited." I knew exactly what she was at, so i smiled back and said no problem, and even told her to get the girls a parting round on me since "if were doing it lets do it properly." Her face lit up and the friends were beaming.

While she went over to order another round i quietly cancelled our table on my phone. When she came back i patted my pockets and went, "oh god, ive left my wallet in the car, ill be back in five." She said no problem.

I walked straight out, got in my car and drove home. I left her there because seriously why on earth would offering to take you out for dinner translate into me suddenly footing a hundred and twenty plus on someone elses bar tab before weve even started. I genuinely liked our chats over text and i feel a tiny bit bad, but. AITJ?
