do NOT attend ccvs if youre of color.
if anyone is or has children of color going into high school, i do not recommend ccvs. the staff is rude, inconsiderate, inconsistent, and its a negative environment. i was just suspended due to making my way to class when o canada started (im mixed race, black and white) as a whole flock of native students were doing the same thing.. something that happens EVERYDAY. keep in mind, you can do whatever you please during o canada because there isnt a law saying you have to stand/be still. i happened to be the only one who was asked to stop, so i politely told them no as i was right by my classroom, and kept walking. i was the only student to get a punishment, which isnt unusual. i pushed it, saying it was unfair that the natives get special treatment while the rest of us take all the heat for them. the vice principal didnt like that and threatened to suspend me and pushed even further by saying he would call the police if i didnt leave. we are not treated equally if youre not white, a boy, or native at this school and its sickening. keep yourself/your kids happy and safe and enroll them in another school.
