What counts towards Trading Allowance, and what counts towards interest?
I've recently got into the Beer Money sub, and have signed up for a few things and made a little cash. Not huge amounts by any means, but a couple of hundred, and I'm looking for a bit of guidance as to what counts towards which allowance.
I've done approximately £100 of work on Prolific, which I understand counts towards my Trading Allowance of £1,000 per tax year; and I've got £50 due to cash out from YouGov in the next couple of weeks which I think also counts to that.
I've had a couple of referral bonuses from Zopa and Oaknorth banks - the T&Cs of each account isn't too clear, but do these count as interest for tax purposes, or should these also be considered under my Trading Allowance?
I'm fortunate to be in a position where I'll be earning about £2,500-3,000 in interest this tax year so know that anything that counts towards that will be taxed, but I'd like to know which payments I get to keep in their entirety.
Any help would be so appreciated, especially if there's a definitive guide that someone knows of; thanks!
