PC for Steam Gaming Only to Function as a "Console"

  • Gaming - I'm wanting to permanently keep this PC plugged in to my TV to run Steam and play games. I'm also not playing visually demanding games - my list would include games like Stardew Valley and other pixel/cute games

  • $400-500; I'm wanting to avoid purchasing a Steam Deck and leaving it docked all the time, so if cost is higher than this, then it would probably be more advantageous to just buy that

  • Sole purpose of this is to basically use it as a console for gaming with Steam without buying a Steam Deck as the portability and OLED screen on the Steam Deck are features I'm not interested in.
  • A new product called Steam Deck is going to be coming out relatively soon, but I anticipate that this will be quite expensive (price not announced yet) but that is really what I am wanting to create my own version of here. Steam Machine
