Odd-smelling tap water in Jefferson Park

For the past 3-4 days now, the water in my apartment has smelled odd. Best way I can describe it is like a metallic-y / smoky smell. We haven’t had any construction that I know of nearby, and the water doesn’t smell or taste different. Also I got a new water heater last year. Also this smell is occurring from all taps in my house; the kitchen sink, bathroom sink, toilet, and shower.
I live on Lawrence between Austin and Central. Has anyone else been experiencing this, and does anyone have any ideas of what could be going on? Additionally this morning when I walked out of my house, I smelled the same smell, but couldn’t identify where it was coming from. I had to run to catch a bus so I didn’t have time to investigate.
