Macbook Pro with External GPU

Hi All, it's time for me to get a new Macbook Pro. At the same time, my gaming desktop is barely able to run iracing with triple monitors. I'm thinking about running iracing via Boot Camp on a new M5 Pro Macbook Pro and building an external GPU with an AMD 9060 GPU. When I first started on iracing back in 2010, I ran it in Bootcamp without issue. but with no external monitors

Does anyone have experience with this approach? Any pitfalls I need to be aware of?
